 BGOGS Newsletter welcomes queries from anyone member or non member pertaining to Bruce & Grey Counties. To write your query, use the following steps:
  • Type or use a computer for best results. If handwritten, your query should be carefully printed using upper and lower case lettering so it is easier to read.
  • Write out your query as you would like it to read. Please keep it brief, no more than 50 words, as newsletter space is limited.
  • Be sure to include your name, mailing address and e-mail address.

2. A Research Question for Help in Bruce or Grey

Research Requests: Please direct research requests care of the research editor along with a minimum fee of $20.00 in advance made out to Jean Warwood remembering to include your return address and email address if applicable. State what sources you have already checked, such as census, township history and land records and what additional help you are seeking.

The cost of $20.00 paid in advance and non-refundable will include a search of all materials that are in the Bruce & Grey Holdings, including all published materials by BGOGS, Cemeteries, County C.D.'s, Surname Collections 1 & 2, Grey 1865 & Bruce County 1867 Directories, Wiarton Newspaper C.D. and Owen Sound Newspaper C.D. Up to ten printed pages.We can not guarantee that we will locate the information that you seek.

Library or Grey Roots or Bruce Archives searches can be done but there will be additional charges for travel, printing and time spent researching or you can contact the posted link directly. To do that go to our Bruce County or Grey County Links pages for links to those repositories.
