Greetings, everyone, and welcome to September.

The big news at The Brucedale Press is our move. I'm happy to say thephysical moving of the books and furniture is complete...the organizingcontinues.

So, when you come to Port Elgin to visit our sales office, attend RoundTables or Workshops, you'll find us at 682 Goderich Street [two doors south of our previous spot]

All contact info remains the same.
Hours remain 1-5 p.m. Tues, Wed, Thurs, or by chance.
The Brucedale Press is sharing 682 with Saugeen Sustainability Volunteerand Resource Centre, a non-profit organization. Their hours are flexible.Both Victoria Serda, the founder, and I see this as a good model forco-operative use of space and resources.

Please note the change for this month from our regular date. Gather at 1:45 p.m. Sessions run until 4 with feedback and coaching. Bring copies of work-in-progress in any genre. The variety of projects and thehelpful approach of other writers make these gatherings work.

The Brucedale Press will be on-site at Arran-Tara Fall Fair. One of the best small-town fairs in Ontario, this 153rd annual offers a great variety of exhibits and competitions. Our booth will be in the arena, and we'd love to see you as you enjoy the evening on Tuesday or the day on Wednesday.

TWO new books coming...
Into the Wilderness: a temple at Sharon is a mini-chapbook of Jennifer Frankum's evocative poetry inspired by the Temple of the Children of Peaceat Sharon, Ontario. Jennifer will be a featured reader for the annual Words Alive Literary Festival, Saturday, September 18.

Aggie's Dream: Agnes Macphail in High School is Donna Mann's second book recreating the younger years of Canada's first woman Member of Parliament. Agnes attended Owen Sound Collegiate Institute [now OSCVI] from 1906 to 1908, but little has been written about those years. Until now...Donna captures the feelings Agnes experienced leaving her country home to boarding town, making new friends, discovering the joys and passions of debating. Plans are in the works to launch this book at OSCVI. Watch for more details.

Bruce County Plowing Match Slade Farm, Concession 7, Kincardine Township The Brucedale Press will be down on the farm for this annual event, featuring our own BRUCE Day by Day and many other good books celebrating rural life.

Wild for the Arts festival
MacGregor Point Provincial Park
[just south of Port Elgin]
A two-day festival of visual art, writing, music, drama, and much more. Visit painters, potters, jewellery-makers and woodturners in the campsite studio tour. Take part in writing and photography workshops. Hear local musicians in the campsite loop and the campfire circle. Plenty of arts activities for kids, too.
FREE park admission, fees apply for workshops and for camping overnight. Check full details at Friends of MacGregor webiste.

Writers' BLOC
Port Elgin Branch library, southside doors open 6:30 p.m. readings and conversation begins at 7 p.m. reading and conversation begins at 7 Challenge for September: your take on Women on the Edge. Up to 1,000 words, any genre.
Writers at all stages in any genre are welcome. Currently we see people from Tiverton, Port Elgin, Southampton, and points between.
