Donna Stewart brings her enthusiasm for outdoor sports and teaching to writing for young children. From her home on the Bruce Peninsula, she has many opportunities to play in and on the waters of Georgian Bay and Lake Huron.
"Paddle to Rattlesnake Island was inspired by my experiences kayaking with my children," she says. Her most recent book Skiing in Black Bear Park, the second in the Brucedale Press series of outdoor adventure stories for young readers, is now available. An excerpt from Skiing in Black Bear Park is available for you to read.
Donna's stories for adults have appeared in one journal and the anthologies Shorewords and The Brucedale Family Reader.
