Sheila Balls lives near Owen Sound, Ontario, on the shore of Bass Lake.  Sharing her adventures are her husband, Carl; son Michael and daughter Catherine; various cats, cows and wild animals.

Many of her anecdotes and person reflections have been published regionally and read on radio.  Somebody Move the Cat! is her first collection.
