Poetry Performance Workshop

Reading and writing poetry are private pleasures.  Reading poetry in front of an audience is a performance.  No matter how good a poet you are, if you come across weakly or with anxiety, enjoyment of your poems will be compromised.

With a few simple exercises you can transform your presentation into a delightful performance that will benefit both you and your audience.

Some responses to Daniel’s April, 2009 Poetry Performance Workshop in Wingham, Ontario:

Hi Daniel,

I want to thank you for giving me a memorable day.  You moved us all forward as a group and challenged us out of our comfort zone.  You have a great way of supporting people while showing them that they have more in them to draw on and build on.  You gave us a great deal to think about for the future.  Thanks for all your support and kind words and for a big push in the right direction.  We all shared a laugh and a cry.  Great day with cherished friends.

You are an inspiration,

Hilary Gillespie

Wingham

I wanted to second the comments made by Mark and Carol Daniel. The workshop was both fun and educational, which is how it should be!
Keep in touch,
