Come, Let's Play

by Daniel Kolos

Come, let's play!

Let's play five year olds.

Stark naked, we'll look at each other

and giggle.

And that's all we'll do.

Come, let's play ten year olds.

We'll show no emotions

As we play a game called

"Find the Button!"

I'll give you a button

And you hide it somewhere

On or inside you.

Then I'll go over every inch

Of your body until I find it.

What great exploration!

Later, when we play thirty-five,

I will explore you again -

With my tongue!

Come, let's play fifteen year olds.

We'll be knowing and dead serious.

I'll have my arms around your shoulders

And won’t let go no matter what.

When no one is looking,

I'll slip my hands under your sweater

and fondle your breasts.

Between the time school is out

And we arrive home,

There are so many places

Where we can screw,

But only if you want to.

Another time, come,

Let's play twenty.

I'll sneak you into my dorm room

And we'll make love like bunnies.

Come, let's play twenty-five.

We'll shower together,

We'll hug and kiss

And let the water form a pool

Between your breasts and my belly.

Then - I'll drop the soap.

I wish we could play a married couple,

But that's no play!

Making love to the rhythm of a budget,

Procreating to the tune of a mortgage,

It's like selling our soul to the highest bidder.

Go away, let's not play.

Come back when you are fifty.

Come, let's play:

Let's play Tantra.

Come, sit on me and we'll bliss out.

You don’t' have to say anything.

Come! Let's play seventy-five.

I'll call from next door

And make love to you over the phone.

You'll invite me over

To sneak through your back door

And while still in the hallway,

You'll pull me into your closet

Filled with old clothes you kept all these years.

I'll fold open your comfy housecoat,

Press you against the bed of clothes

And try to make love to you.

Come, let's play in the closet.

Let's play two or three times a year,

But come, let's play!

Come, let's lie together

When we are one hundred.

It might be a bit cold

And our bones might feel rather stiff,

But our flesh will have nurtured

So many flowers

For the birds and the bees to come and play.
