Sept 2004 Brethren: It is an honour and a privilage to be appointed to represent North Huron as District Deputy Grand Master . I look forward to visiting all of the lodges in the district in the coming months. Firstly, I would like to thank the Masons of the District for the confidence they have placed in me for allowing me this incredible Masonic journey. I look forward to the challenges and the opportunites this experience will undoubtedlly provide.. Secondly, I would like to thank the Brethren of Blair LodgeNo. 314 Palmerston for their support in this endevour and of course I must thank W.Bro. Harold Forbes for agreeing to be my secretary for the year. We have a busy year ahead in North Huron with the District Bonspiel, and District Divine Service as two of the many events taking place. Make sure you all try to attend those functions which help to strengthen the district and maintain communications within the district . Thirdly, I would like to thank the District "team" who offered their services during the coming year. I hope that we will be able to serve the needs of the Brethren and Lodges that request assistance. I would ask that if there are any issues that you or your Lodge require assistance with or advice about, that you contact me so that I may assist you as well as channel them to appropriate Chairman. Also new this year is M.W.Bro. Donald H. Mumby, the Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of A.F. & A.M. of Canada in the Province of Ontario. We look forward to his leadership and expert guidance in the coming years ahead. We must also remember to maintain the rich identity that is North Huron as well as regenerate the District's enthusiasm and spirit. If you are a Masonic visitor, on behalf of the eleven Lodges of North Huron District and the approximately 850 Masons, I proffer to you a warm fraternal welcome and thank you for visiting our Web Page. We invite you to join with us at any of the scheduled Lodge or District events and we would be glad to extend to you the Masonic hand of friendship. Brethren, again my deepest and humblest thanks. It has been my fortune to be able to meet, greet, and travel with you in North Huron District in the past year as Masonic education Chairman and look forward to meeting you all again in the coming year. Sincerely and fraternally, Richard Holder D.D.G.M., North Huron District 2002-2003 |
