Wagner Blue J Miniature Horse Farm began in 1996 with the arrival of a pinto mare and a little black colt.

A lifetime of Janette's love and admiration for the beauty of the horse and the dream of someday being the owner of beautiful horses has been a constant driving force.

Although age now meant that perhaps she soon would't be able to take the bumps of a large horse, she discovered that miniatures offer all the same elegant features as the gracious large horses except in miniature. They act the same, sound the same, appear to think the same - just on a level less intimidating and more manageable by young, old and challenged as well as by the strong & healthy.

So, that decision was easy.

Next, it costs the same to raise and care for high quality as it does for others - so let's have more premium miniatures available right here in Ontario.

So the search began for a foundation herd from top breeders in North America.
