     A Horse Called Farmer is the true, heartwarming story of a brave horse named Farmer, who lived on the Magdalen Islands in the 1920s, and who galloped and swam back to his island home.

     Farmer swam. His legs fought the powerful current. Wind stung his face. Waves crashed over his head, filling his lungs with a bitter taste. Salt water filled his eyes with tears.
