Alfie was an extraordinary dog with an exceptional pedigree. Brenda White allowed him to come to Canada in 1989 a few months after his dam, Cassie, had won Crufts. We were so thrilled to have him. He settled right in and at his second show in Canada won a Herding Group 1. He went onto win BISS under respected judge, Jim Shannon, in 1990. When we brought our son, Jarett, home as a baby, Alfie became his guardian and protector. Jarett learned to walk by holding onto Alf’s hair. Sadly, Alfie went to the Rainbow Bridge before his time due to a brain tumour.
